My favorite films director

Image
My favorite films director My favorite film director is Edgar Wright, he's a screenwriter, producer and director from England. Wright directed my favorite movies like Shaun of the Dead or Scott Pilgrim vs. the world. One of the last movies he made was Baby Driver, and that movie won several awards for sound design and editing.   He studied in the now called Arts University Bournemouth and started his career making horror and comedy short films in super8 film format. His debut in festivals called the attention of Paramount Comedy, where he leveled up his career to the point that he was able to direct full length films.  What I like the most about his style is the fast paced action editing synchronized with sound and music that he does regardless of the genre, and it's just so satisfying. It's like he isn't scared at all of innovating using unusual techniques of creating new ones, and that inspires me a lot to just try new things and see if they work. Also Edgar Wright ha

How Can Your Major Make the World a Better Place?

Image
I don't know really, but as every piece of art, in its essence cinema is politics, it's all a matter of point of view. What I'm trying to say is that it doesn’t matter if the content is entertaining or informative, if it’s directed to young people or old people, if it’s documentary or fiction, all of the problematics presented in a film are a reflect of the psychology, experiences and the reality that surrounds the creator.   Pic of a documentary camera setup And having in mind that the film industry is huuuuge and really popular between the consumers, this opens big opportunities for new creators to tell stories, create experiences that they feel like they’re important to express, in order to denounce or make more visible certain realities that suffer from some injustice or are simply ignored.  Frame from the movie "La Haine" That’s why i love my major, because i come from the struggle, i have seen and know so much s*** that breaks my heart, and I can't just

The last picture with one of my best friends Well, that not so great quality picture that i'm presenting to you, it's the most special one for me. So, this was a selfie in the balcony of the depa that one of our friends used to rent. I took this pic on 20/12/19 at 6AM. The dude at the right side is Felipe, we're actually working together on the project title of another friend. I'm the one at the left side. The girl in the middle is Agathe, an french exchange student that in no time became my best friend.  We met in a funny way, we took the same class and we didn’t know anyone, because i was returning from freezing my studies, and of course she was from another country. In the break she approached me and I told her “hey hola” and she responded “oh hi! My name is Agathe”, and in my interior I was like “oh damn”.  At that time I did know english pretty well, but I just needed a little more practise to properly speak it.  She was learning spanish and even though she’s fre

I can really appreciate a good dish of noodles with white tuna cream. It's simple and it taste good, also it's cheap and fast to cook. It only takes your favorite spaghetti (doesn't matter if it is integral or not), some sauteed vegetables of your liking or if you're in a rush, some frozen soffritto will make it. And then it's just a thing of include the tuna and the cream in the mixture and thadaaa done. Easy.  I couldn't find any decent picture, but it looks something like this. Yeah it's not very appealing, but tastes good. I don't know why i like it so much, but it was the first food that i learned to prepare (mama teached me) and at this point i have a good touch on it you know? I think that i prepare it pretty well and tastes delicious. Healthwise, i think it's good. I'm not a nutritionist by any means, but i can say that this food has a good balance in carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, etc. Maybe the worst part is actually the tuna becau

Headphones... I love them, for me, one of the most important devices in my life. They're so useful in many situations, not only for listen to music, but for study, podcasts, mastering in video editing, etc. Or sometimes you really need to disconect from the world, and once you put your headphones you can teleport to different and better places.  Personally, headphones make my life so much better because i don't have to share my music or whatever i' am listening to, it's a private space anywhere i go. So i think it affects my life in a positive way, because it's not only good for me, but it allows me to respect other people space and not bother them with what i need or want to listen.  I have these and love them so far I totally recommend other people to use headphones, especially if you're in public transport cause omg, there're people so annoying that seem to live in the past century and doesn't know headphones, please don't be one of them lol.

Why i choose my major?

Image
Hello! Today i'll be talking about why did i choose the major that i'm studying and what are my motivations. So, currently i'm studying Cine and televisiĆ³n and this has been my interest since i was at middle school.  I never had any interest in any work when i was a kid, i just wanted to be free, but one day when i was in 1° medio, i brought a camera to school to film some debates that we used to do between different courses. The art teacher spotted me and inmediately he went to me to talk about my camera, soon afterward he told me about an idea that he had of making a workshop dedicated to televison and photography. I was really interested so i accepted to participate in his idea. Soon after we started the workshop where i taught other students how to use the equipment, like cameras and software, and my teacher coordinated all the activities for the workshop. This lasted 4 years before i graduated. So when i came out of school, i was soooo sure that what i liked was this

My name is Miguel Del Peso and this is my new blog! Here i'll be posting some things and details about me and my life. (I don't know why anyone would like to know that kind of stuff, but anyways lol).  So, i'm an student of Cine y TelevisiĆ³n at the Universidad de Chile, in this point of my life i'm 22 years old and i'm very close to end up my major studies yay (i'm just realizing this and i don't know what i'm gonna be doing with my life after this but ok). Currently i live in Puente Alto, Santiago (i have lived here all my life, 100% puentealtino), in a pretty and chill neighborhood close to Cajon del Maipo. I mean, specifically here it's cool, because i've moved to many different houses in my life here in Puente Alto, from ghettos to a totally different class of neighboors. The differences are shocking, for example, where i live now it's not a problem to walk in the streets with something like a camera or money in your hands, you would
